Additionally, we will also forward Municipal / Government Pay phone and Inmate Telephone Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to the nearest and best qualified provider to your town or facility.

What is happening to all the Pay Phones?
The answer is Mobil Phones!
On December 3, 2007, AT&T announced that they will sell all 60,000 pay phones they operate. They state that they "want to get out of the dwindling (pay phone) business as more people are switching to mobile (phones)".
According to the Federal Communications Commission, there were more than 2 million pay phones in the United States in 2000. By 2007, the number has plunged to below 1 million. During that time, the number of cellphones in use in the United States has climbed to more than 218 million.
